Alby
is by the imported Trakehner stallion Schwalbenherbst out of a
mare by Hall of Fame member Gail Ross' grand prix jumper Lucky Boy
II. Schwalbenherbst was imported from Germany, where as a 2 year
old he was German Premier and as a 3 year old he finished the rigorous
Erman 100 day Stallion testing placing third. He is from one of the
best and proven Trakehner mare families (Schwarze Schwalbe) and is noted for
producing outstanding quality and beauty with remarkable movement in
all paces. Lucky Boy II's sire, Lucky Boy, sired 3 Olympic jumpers as
well as numerous other international jumping horses. She has been
inspected and approved by the Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders
Association and also won a sport horse futurity as a 2 year old.
Unfortunately, an injury as a youngster has prevented a performance
career, but she continues to prove herself as an outstanding
broodmare.
